Digimapas Chile Aerofotogrametría Ltda. (DMCL), initiated his activities in December 2005, to attend one of the world largest high resolution airborne Lidar and digital Camera projects for Forestal Arauco S.A. DMCL started its operational mapping in October 2006, after the importation, installation and having tested its exclusive Harrier 56 Dual System sensor, made in Germany.

Until today, DMCL has surveyed by means of its airborne laser and digital camera system "HARRIER 56 DUAL CAM" more than 7.300.000 hectares, for the generation of high resolution- and high precision products in a scale of 1:2000. These products include DTMs, DSMs, Lidar Intensity, true ortho-images (VIS) and true ortho-images Infrared (CIR).

DMCL has now the installed capacity to map and process 450 000 hectares monthly of high level products suitable for a map scale of 1:2000.

In order to assure this performance, two aircrafts are completely prepared, permanently available and ready for any operation within the territory of Chile. The processing center in Santiago (Chile), has a total number of 45 CPUs and several more in field for immediate coverage and quality control calculations. The team of operation for, aerial survey, ground survey and data processing sum up to 22 highly qualified professionals. Additionally, DMCL uses a team of 18 temporary employees specially trained for data edition.

The team of DMCL has generated during the past 2 years, a capital of experience, through several training courses given by the suppliers of each component of the system and through the permanent supervised production of high resolution and high precision products.
